Check that first. While I don’t see as many people with 3rd party PS controllers, they’re not unheard of. And Apple only supports the official Sony controllers.

No they work just fine. Unofficial Switch controllers may not, but the official ones do. Where did you get that idea?

You might try right clicking the installer and hitting “Open” that was to launch it first. When it launches it will probably ask if you’re sure you want to open it because it can’t verify the source. Say yes. After it tells you whether it can can run on your system (even if this isn’t the system to run it on) you can close the installer and try running the app or Terminal commands again

​​@@EasyOSX I finally got it to go onto the flash drive but NOW the issue I'm having is when placed into the older iMac and holding down 'Option' while booting, the USB doesn't show up as an option to boot from. Am I using the wrong type of flash drive??

I’m not aware of doing input switching from the Apple TV. If your TV supports HDMI CEC then you can enable that feature on your Switch so it can automatically turn on and switch the TV inputs when you turn on the Switch in the dock. If not then you’d have to use the TV set’s provided remote or input button on the screen itself.

Maybe I did, I haven’t watched video in full in a few years. If I did it’s typically double tapping on the right side of the touchpad or pausing and scrolling through the timeline

Yeah there's only official support for the Nintendo's own official controllers. Even those blessed by Nintendo aren't guaranteed to work with the Mac

Sorry, once you save and close out of the file it's permanently redacted (as far as I'm aware). There's not a way to undo it. Only other way would be to have or recreate the original PDF

Find My and Firmware Lock are 2 different things. Doing Find My shouldn't enable a Firmware Lock

Typically should be wherever the one that received the merge was located.

So long as you're using the NTFS command it should let you erase a disk and format it as NTFS. I presume this is an external disk?

Not sure what you mean by the bottom bar, but yeah you can do the same thing by going into the customize menu and moving the "Space" or "Flexible Space" options to the right side so you still get the Windows close, minimize, etc. menus. I hope I'm understanding you write.

Do you mean where you can kind of see the desktop background coming through at the very top?

@@EasyOSX It only appears when I go full screen. There's like a white line (not my background) at the very top. I'm on windows11 btw

Is this an official Sony PS4 controller or 3rd party one? Also what version of Mac OS are you running? I will say for my part I had mixed results with the touchpad.

@breadstickys Ok. I’d update to 14.5 to be safe, but my guess is it’s “working properly” so long as you can play games. Touchpad has always been wonky, and I’ve never had the mic/speaker options on mine. Might just be the games I play. Other thing would be to connect it up to a PS5 and check for a firmware update on the controller

What app are you using for your local channels? Like Tablo, HDHomerun, or something else?

@craftergamer9058 yes it can only be synced to one device at any given time. So if you have it linked to your phone, when you turn on the controller, it will try to connect to your phone rather than your PS4

Ooh that’s not a good sign. What specific versions of Mac OS are you current running and what are you trying to update to? (Ex 14.4 to 14.5, etc)

@@EasyOSX Thank you for your reply. I was in version 14.4 trying to go to 14.5. I tried absolutely everything possible, until I came to the conclusion that the only solution would be to erase the entire disk, and start from scratch. That solved it perfectly.

@DesmontandoPayasos Sorry you had to go that far, but glad you got it working. Other suggestion I would have made would have been an install in place, where Mac OS can reinstall the operating system without deleting your data

@@EasyOSX Yes! That function is incredible, I discovered it before deleting the entire disk, the surprising thing is that after having reinstalled the disk, the problem was effectively solved, but another one arose haha. The date and time were completely broken. In short, I made all the scripts you can imagine, went into safe mode, and I did everything again, but nothing. Something very hidden was generating microbugs. I even updated to Sequoia’s beta to see if it got better, but it only got worse. That was the limit, there I decided to delete everything. It was the best decision, now my MacBook Air M1 works like new. I appreciate your attention, have a good day :)

That looks like a typical voluming of an APFS drive, albeit I don't usually see the home folder listed. Are you trying to wipe the drive via this method?
